For the love of essential oils
I have gone through so many shifts and transformation in my life and through all those shifts one of the loves that remained constant for me and within me is my love for Aromatherapy and plant essential oils.
Aromatherapy is a powerful mechanism and at times a way of life. Often when other here the word Aromatherapy - instantly what comes to mind is “fragrance” and a romantic notion of it, and yes that is true, but the truth is aromatherapy is for healing.
Essential oils, plant essences, but to be noted not all plants have essential oils, but those that do they are safely stored in a tiny pockets/droplets between the cells. They are to the plant what blood is to humans. And it is essential oils that are responsible for the fragrance in the plants.
They are some of most powerful alchemists I have had the pleasure of working with. Essential oils condense and transform and transmute. They condense the essence/vital force of the plant in the material form and deliver it to the world in different planes.
I love them so. They are sweet and innocent and powerful.
Here are few important facts about essential oils! and what makes them soooo effective….
Essential oils are the most concentrated form of herbal energy. Essential oils are very concentrated and far more potent that dried herbs. They are not greasy and do not clog pores.
Essential oils are subtle, volatile liquids distilled from flowers, trees, shrubs, roots, bushes and seeds. They are oxygenating and nutrients carriers to the cells of our body.
Essential oils are chemically very complex, consisting of hundreds of different chemical compounds. Because of their complexity, E.O.’s do not disturb the body’s natural balance or homeostasis: if one constituent exerts too strong an effect, another constituent may block or counteract it. (Synthetic chemicals, in contrast, usually have one action and often disrupt the body’s natural balance).
Essential oils have chemical structure that resembles to that found in human cells and tissues; it makes essential oils compatible with human protein and enables them to be readily identified and accepted by the body.
Their unique lipid soluble structure is very similar to the makeup of the cell membrane, aside from that the molecules of essential oils are also relatively small, giving them the ability to easily penetrate the cells.
Essential oils can increase circulation and increase immunity, due to the ability of some essential oils decrease viscosity or thickness of the blood.
In the human body E.O.’s stimulate the secretion of antibodies, neurotransmitters, endorphins, hormones, and enzymes.
The ability of E.O.’s to act both on the mind and body is what makes then truly unique among natural therapeutic and anti-aging agents.
All essential oils are cleansing and antiseptic in nature and can thus help to disinfect the skin.
Some oils encourage the skin to hold and retain moisture or improve skin clarity by removing unwanted toxins from the body. Besides, through their ability to permeate the skin and enter the body, essential oils help to regenerate and strengthen cellular tissue, replenish and repair skin cells as well as regulate the production of sebum to rejuvenate the skin.
Essential oils are powerful alchemists. They can assist with any severe physical condition while reaching and touching to the depth of your soul.
And I am grateful to have had the pleasure of working with them.
